2. Information used by the app

Depending on which features you use, Ice Central may process:

• Account information, including your email address, account identifier and information provided by your sign-in provider.
• Profile information and preferences, such as your selected or linked ice hockey club and notification settings.
• Participation information, including match predictions, scores, rewards or leaderboard activity.
• Push notification device tokens when you enable notifications, plus the information needed to deliver relevant notifications.
• Technical information needed to operate, secure and troubleshoot the app and its services, such as basic request and error information.
• Messages you send to our support contact, including any personal details you choose to provide.

The app displays publicly available and licensed hockey-related content, including club news and social-media posts. This content is not, by itself, an indication that we collect your personal social-media account information.

3. How we use information

We use information to create and manage accounts, provide club-specific content, run predictions and leaderboards, deliver requested notifications, respond to enquiries, maintain security, investigate errors, and comply with legal obligations.

Under UK data protection law, the relevant lawful basis depends on the activity. It may include providing the service you request, our legitimate interest in security and service operation, your consent where required, or compliance with law. You can change notification permissions in your device settings.

4. Service providers

Ice Central uses third-party infrastructure, including Google Firebase services for authentication and relevant app functionality, and Strapi-hosted services for app content and account-linked features. These providers may process information on our behalf to deliver the service. Authentication offered through Apple or Google is also subject to those providers' own terms and privacy notices.

Some hockey content may link to external websites or social platforms. Those third-party services control their own privacy practices.

5. Retention and account deletion

We keep personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, handle support and security needs, and meet applicable legal obligations. We aim to remove account-linked personal information when an account is deleted, subject to any data that must lawfully be retained or is needed for an ongoing security or legal matter. Any retained information is limited to the relevant purpose.

6. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may ask to access, correct, erase or restrict use of your personal information, or object to certain processing. You may also have a right to data portability and to withdraw consent where consent is the lawful basis. Contact scott@elitesportsapps.co.uk to make a request.

If you are in the UK and have unresolved concerns about how your data is handled, you can contact the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

7. Children's information

If you are a parent or guardian and have concerns about an account used by a child, please contact us. We will review the request and take appropriate steps in accordance with applicable law.

8. This website

This support site is a simple informational website. It does not include advertising trackers, analytics scripts or an account login form. Standard server security and access logs may still be generated by the hosting provider.

9. Changes

We may update this policy to reflect changes to Ice Central or applicable requirements. The latest version will be published at this address with an updated effective date.
